My name is Stephen from Sydney, Australia. I have always had a passion for photography dating back to when I was a kid, owning one of those kid's cameras and running around taking pics, then having the film sent away and waiting a few days for the film to get developed.
And yes, thats me on the right, many years ago.

How times have changed!.

I am basically self taught. I moved into the digital era, very early on in the piece and have progressed with the times ever since.

One thing I like to do is to manipulate my photos in Post-Production to get that abstract or painted look.

I have also gotten into Infrared photography. All cameras have a filter over the sensor that cuts out both infrared as well as ultraviolet light. removing this filter makes the camera a "Full-Spectrum " camera. The downside to this is that all your photos now have a pinkish red tinge to them. Using Post-Production software you can get some interesting shots.
